    Still my favorite covers LP ever, and a perfect application of Aphex Twin's energy. I had always hoped that he would naturally have migrated into orchestral compositions on his own by now (in a Trent Reznor kind of way)

    He seemed so from-the-future that I'd hoped he was actually traveling backwards through time through music, and by the time I retired he'd be making tribal music with drums and woodwinds

    In my twilight years, I'd be listening to his final album, where it was just rocks rhythmically banging into each other

    This was one of those CDs in the recommended rack at Other Music that had such a good write-up that I bought it unheard and was simply blown away at the time -- micro-house had been my thing and after listening to Akufen and Herbert and so on, this LP just perfectly synthesized everything I loved about the genre and did it so masterfully that I really kinda stopped searching out other folks and just wanted more Ricardo Villalobos.     Illustrate skill with the quill to build stanzas

    I use pens like hallucinogens

    This is the album version of the urban myth/joke about the programmer who interviews at a company, gets hired, fixes the bug that's driving him crazy, closes it's ticket, and then quits. Dude was like "I just want to make this one LP I always wanted to make," did it perfectly, and then AFAIK never made another full album.
