This was one of those CDs in the recommended rack at Other Music that had such a good write-up that I bought it unheard and was simply blown away at the time -- micro-house had been my thing and after listening to Akufen and Herbert and so on, this LP just perfectly synthesized everything I loved about the genre and did it so masterfully that I really kinda stopped searching out other folks and just wanted more of Villalobos. Unsurprisingly this had the Other Music effect of being like the only place that knew about him, and not knowing the right corners of the internet to find his recordings (and also, being primarily and singles/EP kind of artist), it was the only album of his I ever got. In an alternate world, I was versed enough in the club music scene to have every vinyl release of his, I'm sure
