If a release, artist or label is missing from Record Club, it's probably because it hasn't been added to MusicBrainz.
It could also be that we just haven't imported it yet. We import data every hour – usually you only have to wait 1-2 hours before a release, artist or label is in the database.
If a release (we only use release_group
entities), label or artist is present on MusicBrainz but missing on Record Club, there might've been a problem with our import process. We've built a simple importer tool to solve this issue, but until it's ready for public use we encourage you to notify us at hey@record.club first if a release, label or artist is missing.
Please note that we do not import releases that are unofficial (i.e. street mixtapes or bootlegs, etc.) And artists and labels without any official releases are also not imported.
Another cause could be our search engine, which is currently also in beta. If a release is hard to find via the "mini-search" dropdown on a list or your Top 5, for example, try searching for it on the regular search page. We're continuously making improvements to the search engine, so please be patient while we work out the kinks (hey, great band!).
