La prolifica escena indie rock de nueva York ataca de nuevo con un sonido entre ese post punk tan de moda en las islas británicas con shoegaze o el mejor rock alternativo que por momentos recuerda a dinosaur jr. Todo esto acompañado de unas letras llenas de rabia contra esta sociedad individualista que nos aisla.

even though it is an extremely fun and well produced album, it does sound like something we've all listened before, it doesn't bring anything really new to the table. mourir demain and mon argent are must-listens

Underrated french touch gem. slightly more hip hop funk in vibes than the usual french house records of the era with lots of samples and scratching. Another album and band that time forgot. Pick it up if you see it in the bargain bin.

Bad. Pretty corny and heartless. The features don't add too much minus a couple of standpoints from Lil Wayne, Westside Gunn, and surprisingly Kanye.

Been a fan from their early days. This album definitely leans on meditations, but their signature sound was front and center. Overall was hoping for more from the non single tracks.

Post Rock con tintes de Doom y Shoegaze que me recuerda un poco a Godspeed T___T es demasiado bello.

In my opinion, this is the best Beatles solo album. This is saying a lot considering how long this album is, There isn't a bad song on this thing. It shows how underappreciated George was as a songwriter and as an artist. George truly kept the soul of The Beatles alive with this album.

Not much to write home about here. Headie One has been an artist that has ridden the coattails of other Drill and UK Hip-Hop artists for a while, being able to secure some creative and high fidelity collaborators. The outcome: diluted "hip-pop". I will get it credit, the album has cohesiveness and consistency, just not at a very high bar. it's easy listening for the most part, but a listen through in one swing is a challenge.

Great. Strong melodies, beautiful voice, powerful sound. The production is immaculate, every sound comes through crystal clear and earth shattering deep. Mabe's cello rips sound like somebody stabbing you with a knife.

Lou Barlow (Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh) y John Davis resucitan The Folk Implosion después de más de 20 años. No hay folk aquí y si mucho “indie” rock noventero, de ese que Barlow ha practicado siempre con cualquiera de sus proyectos.

La alternancia de voces le da cierto dinamismo a un disco con un sonido lineal pero agradable. Está todo bien, pero sin fliparse, y como es verano y estoy de vacaciones no le pido mucho más a la vida.

Allie Xs most cohesive project to date. Leaning into eerie new wave and dark electro pop, the album brashly approaches queer womanhood from an outsiders perspective. 80s aesthetic has been leaned into heavy over last 5 years but Allies songwriting shines through. Overall a very underrated pop 2024 release.

Evergreen covers album that contains two of my favorite covers of all time: "Fallin' Rain" and "To Love Somebody".

Schon irr, wie damals noch einfach ein Bierzelt-Album aufgenommen wurde. Richtige Humbta-Humbta-Blasmusik. Aber, verklagt mich, "Fußball ist unser Leben" halt schon ein Hit.

Sehr schade, dass diese Tradition irgendwann beerdigt wurde - ich glaube die letzte Aufnahme der Nationalmannschaft war mit den Village People für 1994?

Sitzt ganz hervorragend zwischen Magnetic Fields und den Television Personalities. Total in love.
Glenn Donaldson, Indie-Songwriter aus San Francisco, veröffentlicht so beständig Platten, dass man kaum Schritt halten kann. Vielleicht passend, dass nun ausgerechnet ein inoffizielles “Outtakes”-Album zur regulären “The Unwishing Well”-Platte sein vielleicht bestes Album überhaupt geworden ist. “This Is Adult Art School” ist die eine Ecke rauher als das Mutteralbum, die Gitarren etwas weiter nach vorne gemischt, die Intensität deshalb ärger. Die Texte wie gehabt brillant und mit “Your Taste Makes You Strange” und “Desperate World” sind gleich zwei seiner besten Songs auf diesem Bandcamp-only-Album enthalten.

Second or third best Charli album. Production on this is perfection.

I listened to this right after seeing James Blake at an intimate piano concert in Brooklyn. This release harkens back to earlier releases, especially under the 1-800-DINOSAUR umbrella. This reminds me of possibly my favourite JB release – 200 Press.

During the concert, JB talked about how he felt oppressed under the control of his label, how he wasn't able to make direct connections with fans, and how he made no money in a year, even with constant touring and releasing music. All of this resulted in him leaving his label to release music independently (and starting Vault...that's a different discussion).
