No estaba nada convencido. En general, la carrera en solitario de Jack White me parece algo irregular y bastante aburrida. No mala, el talento es evidente, pero si poco estimulante.
Siempre los mismos recursos, siempre la misma composición, siempre igual.
Sin embargo, no en No Name. Aquí, está macarra, garagero, algo hard rock, algo blues, y una pizca punk, se le nota cómodo y a gusto en su piel. No es que cuente mucho, pero al menos no pretende convencerte de que es un cantautor.
Nada como resistirse y que te convenzan a golpe de guitarrazos. Me ha gustado bastante.
I never thought I would listen to a whole album by Jack White again but I was proven so wrong. Currently on repeat, matching my brain (that is on vacation).

Jack White delivers the best album he’s released possibly since his days in the white stripes if not blunderbuss. It has all the things I crave in a Jack White LP and cranks it up to 11 and what results is a fantastic surprise release that’s possibly the best album of his solo career thus far. As a huge Jack White fan and for Jack White fans worldwide we were really spoiled with this one.
It’s the Jack White we’ve been silently asking Santa for each Christmas. A bit of a drop off in the back half, but what a refreshing journey through theatrical garage rock that takes me back to the good ol’ days of The White Stripes.

Cosa que no me disgusta, pero aquí me ha parecido un tanto abrumador. En este disco hay riffs muy molones y que me mueven mucho la cabeza, pero a medida que avanza se me va haciendo algo repetitivo. Los cinco primeros temas son los que más me han gustado, tienen ese encanto y esa guitarra que me atrapa.
