a really solid debut and i love to see the Paul institute and its artists continue to do its damn thing. ruthven sounds wonderful on some magical production from AK and this is an album I’ve been going back to a lot lately.

it’s undeniable that Tyler is a musical and creative genius and production-wise, i massively enjoyed the arrangements, the exploration and versatility of his bars. maybe he set the bar too high with the flower boy-igor-cmigyl run because this didn’t hit the way i wanted it to.

faves: sticky, darling i, hey jane

great production, smart lyrics, introspective songs. doechii get better with every project she puts out and this is one of the standout tapes i've enjoyed from a female rapper in the last few years. i luvvvv that she's playing around with genres more and venturing out widdit.

faves: denial is a river, death roll, beverly hills

angsty, heartbreaking, funny.. this is the album i wish i had as a teenager. rachel chinouriri manages to capture the y2k nostalgia every pop princess yearns of and add her own twist to it - one full of alternative, indie-pop sounds and fun soft rock riffs. such an incredible debut, i cannot wait for what's to come.

faves: never need me, robbed, dumb bitch juice

this stays being one of the most timeless rap albums, and the best of 2017 (sorry kdot). vince plays w genres and runs on beats that are so so so great - shoutout SOPHIE forever - and his bars are profound, funny and clever. i don't think i will ever stop giving this album its flowers, but truly think it shaped a lot of hip-hop that came after it

    faves: big fish, 745, homage

perfect production, better than usual (mildly more interesting) lyrics. it's charli - she's a musical talent - but i appreciate that she got more introspective and honest on this album. sincerely, a late twenties girlie who wants to be at the party foreverrrr

faves: sympathy is a knife, everything is romantic, b2b
