ngl this was my AOTY in 2019, 2020, and 2021. i’m in a different place mentally, socially, spiritually now than i was then, but it still does indeed bang. and i’m a sucker for when the last track reprises the themes of the rest of the album, so…..
my rational brain: man what do you expect me to do, interpret this shit? i mean i can tell from the titles that it's saying something about Palestine, but the music itself? i dunno if i'm up to the task

UPDATE: i was too depressed to enjoy this album properly when it came out. seeing Ginger Root live cured my depression so now it’s 5 stars. if you missed the tour, definitely experience the album as a series of music videos
i think this is gonna be an album that i look back on in a few months and think ykno, maybe this is only 3 stars and then i look back on it again in a few years and think what the hell was i on about, this is clearly 5 stars! so suffice it to say i'm feeling very 4 stars about it on 26 september 2024
