when this was announced i said it was already the strongest aoty contender. it's not even in the race for me anymore, but it's still a great album. one of the few radiohead side projects worth listening to, aside from jonny greenwood's compositions for various films.
one moment thom croons sweet somethings about the tragic beauty of humankind then the next i'm getting blasted with high gain full octane overdriven guitar. more of this please.
So beautiful. The perfect follow-up to their first record. I'm a sucker for the ambient experimental aspect of this that really showcases Jonny's classical passion. Will be up there in my year-end list.
