this album is my go to summertime album.

subjectively not his greatest album but the one that I enjoyed the most. I’m a sucker for an album that uses a radio show as a framing device 🤷🏽.

I remember only playing this for the “new earl sweatshirt- interlude” on repeat but eventually on a trip to the nearest ikea, about an 1 1/2 away, I started to sing “Outside!” instead of skipping it. then it went from there.

I played this album almost on repeat when in ubers across san francisco while on our honeymoon.

don’t think I’ve ever played just one track from it, also listen to it top to bottom. from beautiful guitar arrangements to the cracking vocals, it’s such an emotional and intimate project that always makes me feel like I’m in the room as they play. damn near perfect in my eyes.

right to the action for everyone.
"starting to see spaceships on rosecrantz" is up there for one of my favorite music moments in recent memories, playing off the nostalgia of jeezy.

...perhaps "brat summer" wasnt for me after all.
