    deeper well feels like the shadow of golden hour but still manages to shimmer. golden hour set an impossible standard with its warmth and blissful melodies, and deeper well just doesn’t have that same magic.

    her voice always feels like a hug you didn’t know you needed. some of the tracks—especially when you hear them live (see this tour!!) —hit way harder than you’d expect. it’s like she’s sitting right next to you, giving you a soft smile, reminding you it’ll all work out. not every song is a standout, but the album’s heart and vulnerability still shine through.

    yeah, katy perry really fumbled the bag here. “143” feels like a misfire on every level—like she’s still trying to force the same formula that worked a decade ago but hasn’t gotten the memo that the game has changed. working with dr. luke AGAIN is just… idk, it’s not a good look and the sound is straight-up fossilized.

    “woman’s world” is so flat it almost makes me miss “roar.” like, how do you turn a song about empowerment into something that sounds like it’s reading off a teleprompter?

    overall, this album just feels like she’s chasing her own tail. there’s no sense of growth or direction, just this weird nostalgia-trip-to-nowhere that’s… More
