Found them way too late, but Pinegrove’s Everything So Far captures the heart of their early work, blending raw emotion with the thoughtful storytelling of Midwestern indie rock. Each track holds a layered and thoughtful message that feels both warm and compelling. No skips, a true 10/10 record.
Clairo's Sling shows a new level of maturity and introspection in her music. Moving away from the lo-fi bedroom pop that first got her noticed, this album leans into a more folk-inspired, acoustic style that feels both intimate and thoughtful. Although Jack Antonoff's vibe makes me so uncomfortable, he and Claire truly nailed this 10/10 record.
Alvvays' self-titled album is a refreshing addition to indie pop, combining catchy guitar riffs, wistful melodies, and rich, reverb-filled sounds. The album has a nostalgic, vulnerable feel that really stands out.
