Let me preface this by saying I have no idea how to write an album review, so I'm writing this while listing to it and seeing where I go. Spoiler alert: Say Yes is incredible. I haven't dug deep into Iyeoka's other albums but I plan to. She has an incredible natural voice and sings with such impact on some tracks and so delicately, with such emotion, on others ( I Travel Home is a spoken poem which is a little unexpected). After listening to Say Yes I'm left with a feeling of being transported somewhere far from here, rich with culture, experiences and emotion and time and returned home with a full-body warm glow.
