Freddie Gibbs is one of the best rappers currently active. Just a solid album. Thoughtful bars. Wrestling with themes of survivors guilt and fighting the devil within himself.

A beautiful and soulful hip-hop record mage only more poignant by Ka’s passing.

Brevity is the soul of wit. “If You Know You Know” is a banger opening track. “Hard Piano” has a problematic Ross bar or two. “Santeria” goes hard.

It’s an album that gets in and out. No dawdling.

This EP has been largely forgotten by myself and certainly not been in rotation for a long time. Black Milk’s production is pretty good and Brown is rapping as good as he ever did at this point in his career. It just isn’t as a compelling package put together.

“Jordan VIII” is my favorite track and it’s unfortunately the shortest.

“Dada” does provide a little more pathos for Brown with a bunch of brash rhymes and punchlines.

“Lol” also another fun track.

Worth listening to if you’re going through the entire. Danny Brown discography but it’s a lesser project to me for sure.

The album is long and has a bit too much of the meme rap style from that era that feels like an extension of Lil B.

Not bad some good songs but also some less than good songs.

Without a doubt one of my favorite albums of all time. It’s also an album I always consider listening to in the fall and winter. It’s got ice cold production and grey-tinted and often depressive lyrics throughout.

Peggy continues to push his production skills. He is fairly limited by his flows but “Exmilitary” may be one of his top ten solo songs.

"Picacho" and "2 Cups Stuffed" are still some of the hottest Thug tracks around. Thugger really sounds a lot like Wayne still here but you can hear the start of how his style continues to evolve with the more melodic Thom Yorke-esque vocals.

The first track is by far the bangeriest

“Tell Me Where to Go” feels like XXX/Old era Danny Brown and phenomenal

The production and brash pen from Peggy, the lyricism and flow from Danny makes this, minute for minute, one of the strongest rap records of the decade.

My favorite track is “Kingdom Hearts Key” and it’s so fucking good that it should’ve been the last track because even the great tracks after this in the listing feel minor in comparison.

I fucks with it heavy.

I feel weird trying to say if this is good or bad since I’m not well versed in metal. I can say I vibed with it, tho. Uh 4 stars for vibing with it I guess?
