Johann Carl Gottfried Loewe (German: [ˈjoːhan kaʁl ˈɡɔtfʁiːt ˈløːvə]; 30 November 1796 – 20 April 1869), usually called Carl Loewe (sometimes seen as Karl Loewe), was a German composer, tenor singer and conductor.
