Top Ten Albums of 2024
-
My favorite artist for the last twenty years dropped yet another perfect album. May end up being in the top three of his for me (the other two being "Mount Eerie" and "The Glow Pt. 2").
-
Been listening to Cindy Lee for a few years and always found a few gems on every release. This album is all gems. We saw her perform live this year and it was probably my favorite show of the year.
-
Anna just casually releases weird, beautiful, deeply personal albums and this is one of her best.
-
Another banger from Asher. She’s so prolific and so fucking talented.
-
Listened to this because I liked the cover — turns out it is a blend of some of my favorite artists: Stereolab meets Belle & Sebastian. Very good.
-
Dana has the most emotionally raw voice and I just love how she emotes. No band opens me up in the way Porridge Radio does.
-
I love this album. Every time Trace Mountains puts out an album, I think it’s not quite as good as the last one and then a few months in I change my mind and it’s at the top of the list. I think the House of Confusion still may be my favorite but who knows where this will land in the end.
-
A beautiful new album from Karl. I love the sax parts and vocal interplay. May be up there with my favs: Nature’s Got Away and Beneath Waves.

The first song alone puts this in my top ten. The rest is also fantastic. Probably not quite as great as Boat Songs. Can’t wait for the next one.
